Personal Projects

‘The Thing About Things’ is an exploration of collections of objects and how they offer the viewer mini-narratives of their histories and their owners’ identities. Captured in their environment, languishing and standing proud, but left to the viewer’s own interpretations.

‘Motherland’ is an ongoing project set in Transylvania, rural central Romania. This series of images explores the pace of life and people’s closeness to the natural rhythms of the seasons, the way new technology is accepted but not allowed to impose on the old traditions.

‘Silence’ was completed in 2003. With the female as the protagonist it looked at the comfortable and uncomfortable silence in relationships.
